All Food Counts

I have fallen victim to the picking habit before. I would justify “Oh just an extra TB or 2 of PB doesn’t really matter.” That usually kicks off a dangerous trend that leads to weight gain. Even if it’s healthy; it still affects your body. I have gained weight off of sweet potatoes, chicken, protein powder, and PB. I simply had too much of them! What is too much for one person might not be enough for another person. The only way to determine how much is the perfect amount for your body is to test your metabolism.  Your macronutrient* needs will change as you gain more muscle and condition your body to burn food as you eat it instead of storing it.

I am writing this post for all of you that find it impossible to lose weight but fool yourself into thinking that not portioning out your food or picking at additional amounts of what your already have portioned out does not matter. IT ABSOLUTELY DOES MATTER!  Cut it out and you will see the difference within a few days. Any diet that has free food teaches us to abuse overeating. In real life; your body recognizes every morsel that enters it. We always knew it: In life there is no free ride!
